CONSENT AGENDA
 
1.

Consider a request from the County Manager to add an annual Chief Superior Court Judge supplement of $10,000 effective June 24, 2025. 

 
2.

Consider a request from Finance to approve the Adult Felony Drug Court grant #AW-ACFP-26-175-055 for the period 7/1/2025 - 6/30/2026. This grant will provide federal funds in the amount of $314,112.00 and will require a local match of $55,432.oo to be paid with DATE funds. This will require an increase to the revenue budget of $7,260.00 and an increase to the expense account of $43,485.00.

 
3.

Consider a request from Finance to approve the Mental Health Court grant #AW-ACFP-26-108-045 for the period 7/1/2025 - 6/30/2026. This grant will provide federal funds in the amount of $227,632.00 and will require a local match of $40,170.00 to be paid with DATE funds. This will require an increase to the revenue budget of $35,800.00 and an increase to the expense account of $43,290.00.

 
4.

Consider a request from the Police Department to approve payment of $6,495.00 for May 2025-May 2026 annual renewal and support for the department's mobile app.  Payment to be made to OCV APPs, LLC. This will require an increase to the budget of GL Account #100454-58808.

 
5.

Consider a request from Finance to approve an amended final FY 2024 budget for ARPA funds.

 
6.

Consider a request from IT to approve Equipment Schedule L10270 with Ontario Investments, Inc.

 
7.

Consider a request from Purchasing to approve award of purchase for (1) Squeeze Forklift for the Rome/Floyd Recycle Center to Chavez Brothers Management, LLC. The equipment will be paid from Recycling Capital Projects GL Account #330590-67040 in the amount of $44,925.00.

 
8.

Consider a request from Public Works to approve a Memorandum of Agreement between Floyd County and Georgia Department of Transportation for roadway improvements on the railroad crossing at Berwin Road. 

 
9.

Consider a request from Parks and Recreation to increase field rental fees to $150 per field up to $750 per day at Alto Park for upcoming tournaments to reflect installation of artificial turf for the infields.

1.

Consider a request from Public Works to do upgrades to both Faster and Fuelmaster to their cloud-based systems for a total upgrade fee of $106,261.35. This requires an increase to the Public Works Capital Projects budget, GL Account #330456-67040, of $106,265.00; an increase to the Transfer from General Fund, GL Account #330720-49000, of $106,265.00; and an increase in Transfer to Capital Projects, GL Account #100721-69922, of $106,265.00.

 
2.

Consider a request from Purchasing to approve a bid for the purchase and installation of (3) HVAC Rooftop Units to NGE Heating and Air Conditioning for the Floyd County Jail.  The cost of this equipment would be paid from the jail capital account GL Account # 330441-67040. 

 
3.

Consider a request from Purchasing to approve a bid for moving BACnet Controllers from the old HVAC units at the Jail to the new HVAC units to Control Systems Integration for the Floyd County Jail. The cost of this equipment would be paid from the jail capital account GL Account #330441-67040. 

 
4.

Floyd County Commission requests that the City of Rome amend its Code of Ordinances to add a sub paragraph “v” to Section 14-3 as follows:
v. The Chuck Sennett III Memorial Amphitheater which is defined as:
The area bordered by the Oostanaula River, the Rome-Floyd County Library, West Second Street and the library parking lot.
Provided that consumption of alcohol in said area shall only be allowed when:
1. This area of the Sennett Memorial Amphitheater has been duly rented.
2. The function during which consumption occurs has been duly registered by copy of application from the Georgia's Rome Office of Tourism in the office of the city clerk; and
3. The use of glass containers is not permitted.

 
5.

Consider a request from Purchasing to transfer $66,505.00 approved in the 2024 budget to the 2025 budget for the Glenwood FCPD Project from GL Account #319639-66123-60016 to fund an upgrade of the sprinkler system as well as purchase (22) Fire Extinguishers for the building from ASA Fire Protection LLC. The funds were budgeted in 2024 but were not transferred to the 2025 budget for this project.

 
6.

Consider a request from the Clerk's Office to approve a waiver of hearing and stipulation to sanctions regarding self-service fuel, beer and wine, and amusement game room licenses for 3007 Rockmart Highway.

 
7.

Consider a request from the Clerk's Office to approve licenses for beer and wine consumption off premises, self-service fuel and coin operated amusement machine licenses to Parvez Kadiwala for 3007 Rockmart, Inc. dba Marathon located at 3007 Rockmart Highway. All fees and approvals have been obtained by the applicant.

 
8.

Consider request from Clerk's Office to approve a beer consumption off- premises license to Parvez Kadiwala for 3084 Six Mile Food Mart LLC dba Six Mile Food Mart located at 3084 Cave Spring Road. All fees and approvals have been obtained by the applicant.
